Creative hobbies are really the best remedy for work and depression. Because freedom and choice are the best sides of art. But when art begins to sell, of course this is a completely different story ... Therefore, I believe that it should never be rushed. You perfectly coped with this project and did the right thing that you shared with other people. The game is silly and sweet at the same time, and this is already enough to have a good time for players.

As for your art and game style, it’s hard for me to judge this since I still remember ZX Spectrum from my very early childhood and I like this style nostalgically.

This is somewhat unexpected ... but not bad) I think I’ll still save Deluxe Version, then to evaluate all the lines in the final game. Only a large game experience protected me from becoming addicted of this game. This is a very refreshing and story almost amazes with different opportunities.

Ultimately, the conceptual integrity of any project is achieved only due to ideas and inspiration of a particular person. Personally, I often do not hesitate to criticize the authors, but this is connected just that they begin to rush about, forgetting about the main goal and idea.

I am just fascinated by this game. Illustrations take some time to get used to it, but then it is simply impossible to tear yourself away from this style.

To my own surprise, I spent the whole evening doing the fishing of garbage ... and I liked it! I felt stupid but could not stop)) I hope that we will still see your new projects and get no less pleasure.

Not sure about surgical precision. The language barrier and my newfound laziness will not allow me to achieve it.

And in the end, I am already reasoning the post -fact. In fact, I am an apostate, the same person who chose perfection in life after many years of perfectionism in work. I just closed the door and went on. Therefore, now I can calmly dissect my own and someone else's experience with a clear head. It is difficult for me to say what such an experience of a creative person leads to in the end, but an obvious bonus is a free time for studying someone else's art and even writing my unobviously demanded thoughts about it)

You pointed here to several issues important for creative people and I decided to share several thoughts on this topic.

 After several years of working with creative people of different ages, some of whom were just starting their way, while others have already finished, I made some conclusions from my observations, which made up part of my work on the help of these people.

Most creative people have different sizes of talents and abilities, but they all tend to fade over time if they are not thought out. Very few of us were born as a genius and only a true genius can create masterpieces over and over again at one inspiration. As for the rest, if the first glimpses of talent do not attach a healthy fraction of hard work and perfectionism over time, then you can forever remain the creator of one thing.  

On the other hand, there is still a question of attitude to criticism. Everyone is now looking for kind words and comfort, but a talented person who is only praised wanders in dangerous darkness. Warm and comfortable darkness, but leading to the edge, behind which one will finally get lost. Some of the most gifted of the middle -aged talents I met, which created again and again something special absolutely could not stand praise. It was worth opening the mouth for praise and they immediately cut off it and began to ask about the shortcomings of their work. Of course, they were not interested in the opinion of everyone indiscriminately, but they found different critics themselves. Of course, overcoming our own sensitivity is not that simple.

 William butler years in his poem The Choice wrote:

The Intellect of Man is Forced to Choose

Perfection of the Life, Or of the Work ...

And this is the personal problem of each creative person, starting from the time necessary for sleep and ending with the quality of personal relations (and most often in general their presence).

We often look for a balance, but it is not always possible for creativity... The path of the artist is thorny and most often is not very happy. But there is always a choice in games and in life.

p.s. About Slay the Princess, I only finished playing it today with a friend who did not regret money for this game and ... I am glad that I did not buy it. As for the illustrations, I personally would prefer quality to quantity.

I could say a lot about this, but I do not want to create even more problems for the authors. 

The observing step in this theater of the absurd is apparently a ban of the classic  world literature. World literature of course will “suffer” from the absence of such readers.

I can’t say that the games with the Furry tag were especially interesting for me for many game years. But after testing this and a couple of other adult projects, I realized that the problem is not in the concept of Furry-games, but as always in the talent of developers.

From the very beginning, the game captures all the attention and emotionally involves the player. The first chapters are just a perfect picture of an endless circle of bullying, fear and helplessness.

The only drawback of this game is too high the level that it sets to make it impossible to get pleasure from weaker projects in the future. But I think that I can survive it.

On the other hand, it is obvious to me why this game cannot count on an excess of popularity. Most never walks in such ways and prefers not to look at their own real reflection. Still, I hope that the project will be completed, because there are people for whom it is really important.

Yesterday I spent a wonderful evening. It was dark outside the window, the wind whistled in the branches of the trees, the rain whipped the windows while I played this game and felt as if I were again ten years old and I was sitting in an armchair reading my first  gothic stories.

I admire your ability to strictly withstand style. Nowadays, eclecticism has blurred many boundaries, but sometimes I want to plunge into something integral.

I am happy to follow the development of Kit and I hope that you have enough time and patience to bring it to the end. Then your fans will get even more die-away gothic evenings.

Absolutely Gothic.

In this game, all characters and feelings are so real that each of us can find our own “uncomfortable character” or even several. But this attracts from the other side. See and feel what can happen in the relationship that we avoid in real life.

The game promises to be quite enjoyable. But I can't help but note that phrases like "cheap pick-up line" sound like a false note in a game with the tag "Historical". Of course, the choice of language style is the right of the author, but as a player I would not be against more classical phrases and terms.

Oh, don't mind our patience. At least you didn't collect pre-order money for a specific date like some others... The more mystery the merrier)

I like to watch you work with complex topics. To be honest, I believe that in ten or twenty years you will reconsider your views somewhat, but it will also be interesting. As a person with extensive teaching experience, I am pleased to see that growth is accompanied by development and finds such vivid self-expression. Thank you for sharing your talent!

I have to admit that all those kisses and stuff were somewhat distracting from the main plot... But who am I to object to sensual things? It was a real pleasure to play this game. Thanks Lacy! You really make games that I want to play more than once.

All three endings are achieved and here are my thoughts.

Although the theme of American teenagers seems somewhat exhausted even in our eyes (foreigners who are far from American everyday life, education and upbringing), this story seems fresh and exciting to me.

And there are two reasons for this. The first is the sincerity of the main character, and the second is what I would call "the poetry of everyday life."

I also want to note that the language of "text messages!!!" was given to me much easier than wade through the wilds of slang in "High School Daze"))

And finally, talking about books is never enough)

The game is refreshing and mystifying like the wind from distant lands… It's an almost perfect balance between knowledge and emotion. A wonderful gift for the end of summer for all of us!

I especially want to mention the codex with the map. It's almost a nostalgic feeling that you open a classic fantasy book and look at a map. Letter to Darin-sem has also become a nice detail in the game.

I wish you to have a sufficient strength and energy to fully realize your ideas and talent in this development.
